Twingate pricing: free Starter for 5, Teams at $5, Business at $10, and the 100-user cap

The numbers first

What changed between September 7 and October 2

On 2026-09-07 this site recorded Teams at "$5 per user / month" billed monthly and "$51/user annually", which is $4.25 a month, with Business at "$10 per user / month" and "$102/user annually", or $8.50. Re-read on 2026-10-02, the Teams card prints "$5 per user per month" next to a "Yearly -15%" toggle, and the page's structured data lists Teams (Annual) at $5, Teams (Monthly) at $6, Business (Annual) at $10 and Business (Monthly) at $12. The $51 and $102 strings are gone.

Everything below uses the October 2 reading, and so do the vendor page d/twingate, the comparison pages and the rankings. The four changed figures are recorded as vendor price changes in the change log.

Two, ten, fifty and a hundred people

With no minimum and no fixed charge, the bill is one multiplication. On yearly Teams, two people are $5 x 2 = $10 a month, ten are $50, fifty are $250 and a hundred are $500. The per-person figure never moves off $5. Business runs the same column at $20, $100, $500 and $1,000.

Three years for ten people: $50 x 36 = $1,800 on Teams, $100 x 36 = $3,600 on Business. Before the October 2 correction, this site's tables showed $1,530 and $3,060, computed from the September 7 prices of $4.25 and $8.50.

2$10$20
10$50$100
50$250$500
100$500$1,000

What happens at user 101

Teams is "Up to 100 users". A hundred people fit for $500, but the only way to add the 101st is Business, and 101 people on Business are $1,010. One hire doubles the monthly bill. Business itself stops at 500, after which Enterprise is a quote.

The free tier has the same kind of wall. Starter covers 5 users; the sixth moves the team to Teams at $30 a month, or $36 on monthly billing. The free tiers of Firezone, Tailscale, OpenVPN and NetBird sit next to Twingate's in article-45.

How much more the monthly toggle costs

Read as printed, Teams is $6 against $5 and Business is $12 against $10, so monthly billing is 20% higher on both. The toggle itself is labeled "Yearly -15%"; this site divides the two printed numbers rather than the label. Across the business VPN vendors here, monthly runs 18% to 29% above yearly (article-08). Twingate sits toward the bottom of that band.

Can a company use the Home plan?

The page also lists Home at $15 a month for up to 7 users. Its footnote reads "Limited to non-commercial use", which rules it out for a business. A company of six or seven leaving the free Starter goes to Teams, at $30 or $35 a month.

Who this is not for

A team above 100 people cannot buy Teams; Business at $10 becomes the floor. If a fixed IP address is a requirement, the pricing page attaches "static IPs" to Enterprise only, and no price is published for that tier.
