How is this different from the consumer Proton VPN price?
The consumer Proton VPN covered in article-29 has a free plan: one device at a time, servers in ten countries, $0. The business pricing page has no free tier. The entry point is two seats of Essentials, $6.99 x 2 = $13.98 a month on yearly billing, and everything else is above that.
The two pages share one quirk. Fetched server-side, both return their dollar amounts as "$0.00" placeholders. That is why every price on this site for Proton carries the date it was read in a browser.
When were these prices read?
proton.me/business/vpn/pricing was re-read on 2026-10-02. The plan names, the minimums (2 / 2 / 3), "Try free for 14 days," "Taxes may apply," and the Workspace Standard and Enterprise cards were all present in the fetched text. The amounts alone are drawn by script and came back as "$0.00." The $6.99 / $9.99 / $10.99 and the monthly $8.99 / $11.99 / $12.99 in this article are the figures read in a browser on 2026-09-07.
What does the 2-user minimum cost a single user?
With a minimum of two, one person is billed for two seats.
- Essentials: $6.99 x 2 = $13.98. Used by one person, that person costs $13.98.
- Professional: $9.99 x 2 = $19.98.
- VPN and Pass Professional: minimum three, so $10.99 x 3 = $32.97. One person pays $32.97; two people pay $16.48 each.
From two people up, the minimum does nothing. Essentials is $6.99 per person whether there are 2 or 100 of you: $69.90 a month at ten, $349.50 at fifty. Set that beside NordLayer Lite, where a 5-user minimum turns $8 into $20.00 per person at two users, and the size of the floor is what decides the small-team number. The two are placed side by side in article-48.
Is the Pass bundle really only $1 more?
The gap between Professional at $9.99 and VPN and Pass Professional at $10.99 is $1.00 per person. The minimum, though, moves from 2 to 3.
| People | VPN Professional | VPN and Pass Professional |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | $19.98 | $32.97 |
| 2 | $9.99 | $16.48 |
| 3 | $9.99 | $10.99 |
| 10 | $9.99 ($99.90 a month) | $10.99 ($109.90 a month) |
Per person per month, yearly billing.
For a two-person team the $1 difference is a $6.49 difference. From three people it is the $1.00 the cards show. The page marks this plan "RECOMMENDED."
How much more is monthly billing?
Essentials goes from $6.99 to $8.99, 1.29 times. Professional from $9.99 to $11.99, 1.20 times. VPN and Pass Professional from $10.99 to $12.99, 1.18 times. The discount badges on the page ("22% OFF," "19% OFF," "18% OFF") are copied as the vendor prints them; this site did not compute them.
Ten people on Essentials: $89.90 a month on monthly billing, $69.90 on yearly. That is $20.00 a month, $240.00 over a year.
Is Workspace Standard a VPN plan?
The same pricing page lists "Workspace Standard" at $12.99 per user per month on yearly billing and $14.99 monthly. It is a bundle of eight Proton products, Mail and Drive among them, rather than a VPN plan, so this site does not record it as a Proton VPN for Business plan. If a VPN is all you need, the three plans above are the ones to compare.
What does the Enterprise card say?
"Customizable solution," "Dedicated account manager," "All Proton services." No price and no minimum are stated. If you ask for a quote, the three questions in article-03 apply as written: the per-user price at your headcount, the minimum number of users billed, and any fixed charge.
Where does Proton land at ten people?
The US-dollar plans this site holds, as cost per person at ten people: Firezone Team $4.16, Twingate Teams $5.00, Windscribe ScribeForce $5.00 (monthly billing only published), UTunnel Basic $6.50 (including its $5 gateway), Proton VPN Essentials $6.99, Cloudflare One Pay-as-you-go $7.00, OpenVPN CloudConnexa Essential $7.00, GoodAccess Essential $7.00, NordLayer Lite $8.00, Tailscale Standard $8.00 (monthly only). Where both prices are printed, the yearly one is used. The full ranking is on 10-users; the two-, ten- and fifty-person comparison with the $5.00 ScribeForce plan is at vs/proton-vpn-business-vs-windscribe-scribeforce.
Three years at ten people: Essentials $2,516, Professional $3,596, VPN and Pass Professional $3,956.
Who this is not for
This covers the amounts and conditions on one pricing page. It makes no judgment about Proton's servers or encryption, or about how the free consumer plan performs (article-29 is about its stated limits, not its quality), and we have not used the product. It is for someone who wants to know what one or two seats will be billed, and what monthly billing adds.
