Do you need monday CRM, or will regular monday.com boards do the job?
Summary
Regular boards can hold a customer list, and on the free plan they cost nothing. What they don't give you is the email side of sales: Emails & Activities, two-way Gmail and Outlook sync, and duplicate merging all come with monday CRM, the sync and merging from the Standard plan up. For a team of six on Standard with yearly billing, that difference comes to $600 a year, $2,040 for monday CRM against $1,440 for the general platform.
What six people pay
monday.com sells seats in buckets. Plans start at three seats and then go up in multiples of five, so a team of four buys five seats and a team of six buys ten.
| Standard plan, yearly billing | Per seat per month | 10 seats for a year |
|---|---|---|
| monday AI work platform | $12 | $1,440 |
| monday CRM | $17 | $2,040 |
Prices exclude tax. You can run both products on one account with different plans and seat counts, but they have to share a billing cycle.
There is no free plan for monday CRM. The free plan exists only on the AI work platform, where it covers two seats, three boards, and 200 items. A new monday CRM account starts on a 14-day trial of the Pro plan, and monday.com doesn't extend trials. If you search for Work Management pricing, what you find is the AI work platform's pricing; the help center still uses the old name in places.
What the CRM adds to a board
Every Contacts, Leads, Accounts, and Deals board in monday CRM comes with Emails & Activities preinstalled, so emails, call notes, and meetings land on the customer's record. monday.com's support site says this feature is only included automatically with monday CRM. Standard adds two-way email integration with Gmail and Outlook, duplicate merging, and an AI email writer, and raises the cap on active contacts and deals from 1,000 on Basic to 10,000. Pro adds mass email, sequences, sales forecasting, and Google Calendar sync. AI lead scoring is on Ultimate, which is quoted individually.
Basic also limits each board to five columns. Owner, stage, deal value, and next contact date already use four of them.
