Salesforce vs Zoho CRM pricing: Starter Suite $25 against Standard $14, and annual-only billing starts at Pro Suite $100
Last updated 2026-10-03. Salesforce's US pricing and free-CRM pages and Zoho's CRM pricing page (dollar prices from its own data file, because the page opened in rupees) were read on 2026-10-03. The site's own dataset of 2026-08-25 still lists Salesforce Enterprise $175 and Unlimited $350; neither appears on Salesforce's page any more, so this article uses the five editions shown there: Starter Suite, Pro Suite, Core, Advanced and Max.
What does a ten-person team pay over three years?
Take ten seats for 36 months. Site formula: three-year cost = price x seats x 36 (no onboarding fee on any of these four plans). Starter Suite is 25 x 10 x 36 = $9,000; Zoho Standard is 14 x 10 x 36 = $5,040; Pro Suite is 100 x 10 x 36 = $36,000; Zoho Enterprise is 40 x 10 x 36 = $14,400.
| Pairing | Salesforce | Zoho CRM | Monthly total, 10 seats | 36 months | Multiple |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Entry | Starter Suite, $25 | Standard, $14 | $250 vs $140 | $9,000 vs $5,040 | 1.79x |
| Upper | Pro Suite, $100 | Enterprise, $40 | $1,000 vs $400 | $36,000 vs $14,400 | 2.50x |

Table note: annual-billing prices per seat per month; every figure is a floor, with add-ons, contact capacity and tax left out. The gaps are $3,960 and $21,600.

How do the numbers move with seat count?
Monthly total, with effective price per seat in parentheses. Both vendors charge per seat with no onboarding fee listed, so the per-seat figure stays flat.
| Seats | Salesforce Starter Suite, $25 | Zoho Standard, $14 | Salesforce Pro Suite, $100 | Zoho Enterprise, $40 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $25 ($25) | $14 ($14) | $100 ($100) | $40 ($40) |
| 3 | $75 ($25) | $42 ($14) | $300 ($100) | $120 ($40) |
| 5 | $125 ($25) | $70 ($14) | $500 ($100) | $200 ($40) |
| 10 | $250 ($25) | $140 ($14) | $1,000 ($100) | $400 ($40) |
| 25 | $625 ($25) | $350 ($14) | $2,500 ($100) | $1,000 ($40) |
The multiples hold at every row: 25 / 14 = 1.79x and 100 / 40 = 2.50x. Seat count changes the dollars, not the ratio. A Zoho Professional tier at $23 sits between the two pairs; the calculator takes any plan and seat count.
Where does annual-only billing start?
| Plan | Annual | Monthly | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Salesforce Starter Suite | $25 | $25 | 1.00x |
| Salesforce Pro Suite | $100 | not published (billed annually) | n/a |
| Zoho Standard | $14 | $20 | 1.43x |
| Zoho Enterprise | $40 | $50 | 1.25x |
Salesforce lists Starter Suite as "billed monthly or annually" at the same $25, so there is no discount for committing. From Pro Suite up (Core $195, Advanced $395, Max $550) the page says "billed annually" and shows no monthly option. Zoho publishes both, and its monthly Enterprise price of $50 is still half of Pro Suite's $100. On Zoho's monthly billing, ten Standard seats for 36 months cost 20 x 10 x 36 = $7,200 against Starter Suite's $9,000, so the entry gap narrows from 1.79x to 1.25x.
Core and above have no Zoho counterpart in this comparison. Zoho's highest listed tier, Ultimate, is $52 annual ($65 monthly); Core at $195 is 3.75x that.
What do the free plans and add-ons change?
Salesforce's Free Suite comes with 2 user licenses, no expiry "as long as you log in at least once every 60 days", and up to 100 emails a month. Its page says that once a team reaches three or more, the move is to Starter or Pro Suite, so the first paid step is $25 per seat. Zoho's free edition is for 3 users, up to 5,000 records in all modules and 1 GB of storage. article-18 compares free-plan limits.
Salesforce's Agentforce add-on is listed from $125 per user per month, and the page says AI "can be added to Core and above"; it is not inside any figure here. Zoho adds tax: "Local taxes (VAT, GST, etc.) will be charged in addition to the prices mentioned." Salesforce's tax treatment is not stated on the page we read. Neither vendor states a minimum seat count for these plans.
Higher-edition context is in article-22 and the broader field in article-09. See also article-33, article-32 and best/us-suite-10-24.
