Short version
- Four vendors have a free plan one person can use: Bigin (500 records), Capsule (250 contacts), HubSpot (1,000 contacts) and Attio (50,000 records). Zoho CRM's free plan holds 5,000 records.
- Among the plans listed, the lowest paid price for one user on annual billing is $7 a month (Bigin Express, HubSpot Starter); on monthly billing it is $9 (Bigin Express).
- Close Solo is $9 annual or $19 monthly and is limited to one user. A second user moves the team to Essentials, $35 or $49 each.
- monday CRM bills at least 3 seats, so one person pays for three: $36 on Basic with annual billing. It has no free plan.
- Less Annoying CRM is $15 and is sold monthly only.

Annual and monthly columns are the monthly price for one person. "Per year" is that figure times 12. For monday CRM it is the price for 3 seats, because the plan bills at least 3. Every figure is a floor: tax, add-ons and contact or record capacity beyond the plan cap are outside it, and Less Annoying CRM adds "applicable tax" on top of its $15.

What does one user get on each plan, and what ends it?
- Close Solo, $9 annual or $19 monthly. "Limited to 1 user" and 10,000 leads, with workflows not included. Essentials at $35 or $49 is the next step. 14-day trial.
- Bigin Free, then Express $7 or $9. The free plan is one user, 500 records and a single pipeline. Express and Premier have no user limit. After the 15-day trial an unpaid account moves to the Free plan.
- Capsule Free, then Starter $18 on annual billing. Two users, 250 contacts, 5 custom fields and one pipeline. Starter is listed with 30,000 contacts.
- Attio Free, then Plus $35 annual or $44 monthly. Up to 3 seats and 50,000 records, 200 emails a month and up to 3 objects. Plus allows up to 10 seats.
- HubSpot Free, then Starter $7 annual or $20 monthly. Two users and 1,000 contacts, with no time limit. Starter removes the HubSpot branding.
- Zoho CRM Free, then Standard $14 or $20. Three users, 5,000 records and 1 GB of storage. The Standard price is read from the vendor's own data file, since the page itself renders in another currency.
- Less Annoying CRM, $15 monthly only. One plan, a 30-day trial, and no annual price shown.
- monday CRM Basic, $12 annual or $18 monthly per seat, 3 seats minimum. No free plan, a 14-day trial, 1,000 contacts on Basic.
- Salesflare Growth, $29 annual or $39 monthly. A 30-day trial and no free plan.
- Nutshell Foundation, $13 annual or $19 monthly. No seat minimum, a 14-day trial and no free plan.
What happens when a second user arrives?
The table below prices 1 to 4 users on annual billing, switching each free plan to its first paid plan at the point the cap is passed.
| Annual billing, per month | 1 user | 2 users | 3 users | 4 users |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Close (Solo, then Essentials $35) | $9 | $70 | $105 | $140 |
| monday CRM Basic (3 seats minimum) | $36 | $36 | $36 | $48 |
| Bigin (Free, then Express $7) | $0 | $14 | $21 | $28 |
| Capsule (Free, then Starter $18) | $0 | $0 | $54 | $72 |
| HubSpot (Free, then Starter $7 on every seat) | $0 | $0 | $21 | $28 |
| Attio (Free, then Plus $35) | $0 | $0 | $0 | $140 |
| Zoho CRM (Free, then Standard $14) | $0 | $0 | $0 | $56 |
| Nutshell Foundation $13 (no cap) | $13 | $26 | $39 | $52 |
Close Solo is the sharpest step. Solo is limited to one user, so two users go to Essentials: $35 x 2 = $70 a month against $9 for one, 70 / 9 = 7.78 times as much. On monthly billing it is $49 x 2 = $98 against $19. monday CRM goes the other way: the second and third user add nothing because the first three seats are already billed ($12 x 3 = $36), and a fourth makes it $12 x 4 = $48. The Capsule, HubSpot, Attio and Zoho steps arrive at users 3, 3, 4 and 4. HubSpot's third user is read as Starter on every seat, because the page does not say whether the two free seats stay free.
How is the yearly figure built?
Seats billed is the larger of the seats you have and the plan minimum, so monday CRM Basic for one person is max(1, 3) = 3 seats. Plan per month is the seat price times seats billed: $12 x 3 = $36, and $36 x 12 = $432 a year (monthly billing, $18 x 3 = $54, or $648). Close Solo is $9 x 12 = $108 a year annually and $19 x 12 = $228 monthly. None of the pages read lists a required one-time fee for these plans, so the three-year cost is the monthly figure times 36.
