Papaya Global's EOR price: from $650 in August to $499 in September, and what we can and cannot say about it
Summary
This site has read Papaya Global's pricing page twice. On 2026-08-21 the EOR fee was "starting from $650"; on 2026-09-06 it was "starting from $499." That is $151 a month, $1,812 a year. Whether the company cut its price or the first reading was wrong is something this site cannot establish, and the article is written with that in it.
The two readings
| Date read | EOR | Contractor of Record | Contractor payments |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026-08-21 | From $650 per employee per month | (not recorded) | From $2 per contractor per month |
| 2026-09-06 | From $499 per employee per month | From $199 per contractor per month | From $5 per contractor per month |
In September the page presented three products side by side: Employer of Record, Contractor of Record (Papaya carries the engagement), and a contractor solution covering payments and invoice management only. The $2 recorded in August belongs to that third product.
One version of the August page carried an FAQ line putting the fee at 650 euros in European countries and 650 dollars in most others. The September reading did not find that line.
Why the log says "changed or misread"
This site's change log separates moves the provider made from errors this site made. Papaya's two entries sit in a third category, "re-read: changed or misread," because no copy of the page exists between the two readings. The Wayback Machine holds one 2026 capture, from 27 July, and it is a blocked-request page; archive.today holds nothing that would open.
The same person read it both times and read more carefully the second time, so $499 is the likelier figure. "Likelier" is not the standard this site uses to correct a number.
A third reading was attempted on 2026-10-01 and the page refused the request (HTTP 403). The figures here therefore stand at 2026-09-06, and the verification date says so.
Reading "from $499"
In September, $499 was a starting price, and the provider table records it that way. Papaya also says it is "happy to provide volume discounts at the time of sale when appropriate," so $499 is a floor that moves with country and headcount.
In this site's table, $499 sits level with Multiplier's monthly price, $100 under Deel and $300 over RemoFirst. Twelve months is $5,988. A $90,000 hire in the United States carries $6,927 of statutory employer cost on this site's formula, so the year is $102,915.
At $650 the year's fee would be $7,800, in the same band as Remote and Oyster at $699 ($8,388). Which figure you open a negotiation from moves the starting point by about $1,800.
Deposit, exit terms, billing currency
Not readable from the page. Third-party reviews put the deposit at two months' salary; without a primary source that number does not appear here. Have the quote state the deposit amount and refund terms, the notice Papaya wants before an offboarding, and the billing currency.
